Welcome to Glitter Gel Pen Book Club — a meet-up for like-minded girlies who want to read fun, sugary novels and yap about them over a glass (or two) of natty wine. Every six weeks, we gather at a different wine bar in Sydney to sip, swoon, and spill the tea (not the wine, if possible, pls).

The name is a nod to queen, Taylor Swift, whose self-proclaimed “glitter gel pen” songs — the playful, carefree, lighthearted ones — perfectly match our vibe.

We started this because we saw a gap: where’s the book club for those who just want a break from the chaos and a reason to romanticise their lives? Because god forbid smart girls enjoy a novel that isn’t a 17th-century literary classic.
